Katye Killebrew is the creative artist behind MiNei Designs, which focuses on creating one of kind wearable art fashioned from recycled/repurposed items. She first began MiNei Designs in 2009 with recycled treasures from her own personal, lifelong collection. At an early age, her mother introduced her to the joy of hunting for garage sale treasures. She has always enjoyed collecting charms and beads that caught her eye, and she never knew that one day it would lead to a passion for jewelry design. Her designs are known for their natural and whimsical, yet sophisticated style. Her jewelry design has evolved into custom designs utilizing items (e.g. collected finds from travels or hand-me-down heirlooms from family and friends) from her clients’ own jewelry boxes that might otherwise be discarded, and breathing new life into them by designing customer personal masterpieces. Her love of her art is abundantly evident in each piece she creates.
